going back

So Katie & I have decided to go back to xanga. We only bought a few months of hosting and we think it’s almost expired and like nobody comments us here, and changing layouts and adding stuff was much easier on xanga. So sorry for the inconvenience to all of you who changed your affiliates link to here but we’d really appreciate it if you changed it back to xanga.com/dreamlandx3. And if you don’t do affiliates with xangas that’s fine too
So for now the stuff is still up here but we’ll be gradually moving it back.
xoxo Emma & Katie
I’m back! kind of.

hey guys, I’m back from my vacation in Maine (unfortunately). The weather was decent, I spent a lot of time on the beach and in the warmer-than-usual ocean. It was a good week.
I think I mentioned that I had gotten Twilight to read on the beach. Well I’m glad you all told me what a good book it was because otherwise I don’t think I would have ever picked it up. In fact, I started it Sunday night and had finished it by Monday morning so on Tuesday I talked my friends into going with me to the store where I bought New Moon and Eclipse, then I finished those by maybe Wednesday night? I don’t remember it’s all blurry, but I really wanted to get Breaking Dawn but nobody wanted to go back with me (I know, I should’ve just gotten it when I was there but I didn’t want to spend over $50 in one go at the bookstore). Finally on Saturday night I talked my brother into going with me to get it and I finished it this morning on the car ride back. It was such a good series, I’m glad they were all out before I started reading them, I don’t think I would’ve wanted to wait a year for the next book to come out haha. The only one I didn’t like too much is New Moon, probably because I really like Edward and he wasn’t part of the story that much for a lot of it.
Anyway, I’m still not done transferring all the layouts, it’s taking much longer than I expected even though I’ve been crazy busy. I go away to school next Sunday so it’s definitely not going to slow down but I’ll try and manage.
And nobody ever leaves me comments anymore, it’s kind of lonely

Okay so remember how I said I was going to see the Jonas Brothers, Avril Lavigne & Demi Lovato? It was absolutey amazing. Demi came out first and played like 5 songs nobody really knew since her album hasn’t dropped yet but she still sounded good live. The only thing was after the first or second song it sounded kinda like her voice was giving out a bit but that’s alright. Aha she did trip and drop the microphone at one point though but it’s all good. Avril was on next and I have to say I’m a little disappointed. I saw her three years ago and she was amazing and this time I think her heart just wasn’t in it. She sounded great, except for the slight echoing but some of her upbeat songs just sounded halfhearted. Then after what seemed like an eternity between Avril & the Jonas Brothers they finally came on, rising from the middle of the stage on a revolving platform. And they sounded amazing. I’ve never been a huge fan of the Jonas Brothers so I didn’t know a lot of the words to their songs but it didn’t even matter. After a few songs they went to change outfits and a video about Nick’s diabetes came on and at one point he lifts up his shirt to show the thing he has to wear and the crowd went wild haha. Then they came back on and Nick did a really good acoustic-ish version of A Little Bit Longer. So yeah, overall I think they must’ve played upwards of 15 songs including some new ones (Love Bug is wicked cute!) I have pictures i’ll try and post soon but lately my internet has been cutting in and out on me so every time I get a chance to do something it stops working and I lose whatever I’m working on but I’ll try and post them.
And the other day I finally got my housing assignment! I’m in a double (thank God) in the freshman year experience section so that’s good. And I think I’m pretty close to most of the academic buildings. The only thing is the dining plan freshman have to get is an unlimited meal plan but the two buildings that offer the unlimited meals are a little bit of a walk away, but whatever. I’m really excited, but I’m dreading packing because I know I’m gonna forget something and I can’t decide what to take.
Oh, before I forget, I’m going on a vacation on Saturday (I bought Twilight to read on the beach, hopefully it’s as good as you all say it is) and I won’t be back until the 17th and I don’t think I’ll have internet where we’re going, then I’m moving into my dorm on the 24th so I’m gonna be pretty busy but I know it’s been forever since anything has been added so I will try to make some stuff anyway. Enjoy the rest of your summer!

ahh finally some free time
I’m transferring the reviews over as we speak and Katie & I have both been moving the layouts so hopefully it’s done soon. And I promise new layouts will be accompanying the transfer. As for me, today was day eight of eleven at work but today I worked mornings so it wasn’t all that bad, but the district manager was in and we just received like 17 boxes of new shoes and we were shipping out over 500 shoes for transfer so I have been moving boxes all day and I’m exhausted. But whatever, at least the day went fast
Miley Cyrus’ new album Breakout is going to debut at Number 1 tomorrow on the Billboard 200! I’ve listened to most of the tracks and for the most part they’re good. My favorites are Breakout, Fly on the Wall, Goodbye and 7 Things. I’ll write up a review for the album as well but if you liked Miley/Hannah’s stuff before you’ll enjoy this album. And the best part is it’s only like $9.99.
So what do you think about Christian Bale being arrested in London for allegedly assaulting his mom and sister? Or Keira Knightley saying no to digital breast enlargement? Or what about another former Disney star being arrested for a DUI? And how about that former Disney star NOT being Lindsay or Britney but the former Even Stevens star, Shia Labeouf?
Jonas Brothers, Avril Lavigne & Demi Lovato

Yesterday I picked up my tickets to see Avril Lavigne & the Jonas Brothers with Demi Lovato! I’m so excited. I’ve seen Avril Lavigne once already like 3 years ago but not songs from her new cd so it’s gonna be awesome. I’m not a huge Jonas Brothers fan and I only know a few songs by Demi Lovato (the ones from Camp Rock) but I’m sure it’ll still be amazing. And I never did get around to writing that review for Wall-E, I’ll try and do it soon because it was awesome. If anyone has seen the Dark Knight (I know a lot of you must have) and feel like writing a review for us that would be awesome too. As for the site, I finally have started moving the xanga layouts over to the domain. Linzie from retroxcrayons told me how to do a “live preview” kind of so I’m working on that. We’re also working on a new main layout, I can’t remember if I told you that or not but it’s gonna be awesome, Katie designed this one.
But right now I’m on day five of working from like 2-9pm so I’m pretty beat but maybe tonight some stuff. I have banners made, its just I don’t have Internet Explorer anymore (I got a macbook so I’m using Safari) so I can’t tell if the colors are working properly and I just have to get onto my old computer one of these days. Oh, and Katie & I switched to fan update for our blog provider because we were getting so much spam on cutenews. You have to put in a captcha code now but hopefully it’ll weed out the spam.
Have a good weekend!
